Staffing Needs: We are still looking for a new Kanji teacher. Please contact the school if you know of someone who would be willing to teach these classes. We are also looking for a teacher for the Tuesday elementary PE class. The class meets from 2:00-3:00 and has 14 students in grades 1-4. Letter from the School Board: We are sending home a letter from the school board today. It should give you more information for the upcoming meeting. Also, please take some time to fill out the questionnaire that is attached. Your insight and opinions are valuable and we hope that they will help us in making decisions about the school’s future.
Cold and Flu Season: This weekend is a long weekend. Please set aside time for your family to rest and recuperate. Many of our students have been fighting colds or absent with the flu. Please take care. See you next Tuesday.

Kakizome Taikai: (1/10/2009) CCSI would like to thank Mrs. Watanabe for her preparation and instruction at last week’s Kakizome Taikai. Thank you also to everyone who participated and made it a wonderful event.

Dear Friends and Family,
We are saddened to announce that Daiki Hayashi will not be returning to CCSI in the new year. He will be attending Koyatsu Elementary school in Chiba. Please pray that he will have a smooth transition to his new school.
Kakizome Taikai: (1/10/2009) A copy of the Kakizome Taikai flyer is attached. Please give a copy to your friends and family and encourage them to come and enjoy the morning with us. We will be having calligraphy practice and competition as well as having Oshiruko (a Japanese sweet soup). It starts at 10 am.

(12/19) CCSI students have also been invited to sing at Honda Hoikuen in Honda. There is no E-Zone on that day. Students interested in this voluntary outreach opportunity should arrive at the school at 9:00. Lunch will be provided and we will dismiss at 1:00.

Bangladesh: Praise the Lord! The bazaar for Bangladesh raised 32,733 yen ($350.00). Thank you Hayashi-san and Hirohashi-san for organizing this fundraiser.

E-Zone: The next E-Zone will be on January 30, 2009.

(12/12) CCSI students have been invited to sing at Tatsumi Saifuen Assisted Living Center, in Tatsumidai. There is no E-Zone on this day. Students interested in this voluntary outreach opportunity should arrive at the school at 1:00. This is great opportunity for us to share about Jesus this Christmas. (1:00-3:00) Students should eat lunch before they arrive.
Movie at the Nolls: (12/12) Mr. and Mrs. Eric Noll would like to invite the CCSI elementary students to their home for a Christmas Movie. Interested students should arrive to the Noll house at 3:00. Students who are also participating in the singing outreach will be dropped off at the Noll house at 3:00. Parents should arrange to have their child picked up at 5:30.

(12/12）CCSIの生徒たちは辰巳台にあるケアハウス辰巳彩風苑からの招待を受けました。この日、E-Zoneはありません。このアウトリーチに興味があり、参加したい生徒は午後1:00に学校へ来て下さい。このクリスマスの時期に、イエス様の事を分かち合うとても良い機会だと思います。(1:00–3:00）学校へ来る前にお昼はすませておいで下さい。
ノール家での映画会：(12/12)ノールご夫妻が小学部の生徒たちをお家でのクリスマス映画会へ招待してくださいました。参加したい生徒はノール家へ3:00に行って下さい。その日、アウトリーチに参加する生徒たちは、そのまま3:00にノール家へ向かいます。親御さんは5:30にお子さんたちをノール家に迎えに来て下さい。

風邪の季節：多くの生徒たちがこの時期、風邪をひいていおります。予防のため、みなさん頻繁に手洗いをするようお願いいたします。(教育館では殺菌、消毒ハンドソープを使用しています。
E-Zone:次回のE-Zoneは2009年1月30日です。
クリスマスアウトリーチ
(12/12）CCSIの生徒たちは辰巳台にあるケアハウス辰巳彩風苑からの招待を受けました。この日、E-Zoneはありません。このアウトリーチに興味があり、参加したい生徒は午後1:00に学校へ来て下さい。このクリスマスの時期に、イエス様の事を分かち合うとても良い機会だと思います。(1:00–3:00）学校へ来る前にお昼はすませておいで下さい。
ノール家での映画会：(12/12)ノールご夫妻が小学部の生徒たちをお家でのクリスマス映画会へ招待してくださいました。参加したい生徒はノール家へ3:00に行って下さい。その日、アウトリーチに参加する生徒たちは、そのまま3:00にノール家へ向かいます。親御さんは5:30にお子さんたちをノール家に迎えに来て下さい。
(12/19)CCSIの生徒たちは、誉田にある誉田保育園から招待を受け、訪問することになりました。 この日、E-Zoneはありませんが、このアウトリーチに興味があり、参加したい生徒は朝9:00に学校へ来て下さい。生徒たちのお昼は学校が用意いたします。お昼を食べ午後1:00に解散となります。

Dear Friends and Family,
Parent Cleaning Day: Thank you to everyone who came out for the parent cleaning day last Saturday. Everything looks great.
E-Zone: There will be no E-Zone this week.
A Living Nativity: Schedule
Friday (12/5)
There will be no classes on Friday. (No E-Zone)
Students should arrive at the school at 1:30. We will be singing at an afternoon tea for the elderly in the community at 2:30.
Saturday (12/6)
Students should arrive at the school at 4:00.
(Friday and Saturday) We are asking that all students bring a boxed lunch and a snack to share with everyone. We will eat dinner between the 5:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. performances.
Parents: Please dress your child in something warm under their costumes. It may be very cold over the weekend.
Outreach Opportunity: (12/12) CCSI students have been invited to sing at Honda Hoikuen in Honda and Tatsumi Saifuen Assisted Living Center, in Tatsumidai. There is no E-Zone on that day. Students interested in this voluntary outreach opportunity should arrive at the school at 9:00. This is great opportunity for us to share about Jesus this Christmas. (9:00-3:00) Lunch will be provided.

ペアレント クリーニング デー：先週のペアレントクリーニングデーに来て下さった方々、ありがとうございました。とてもきれいになりました。
E-Zone: 今週のE-Zoneはありません。
A Living Nativity:
金曜日(12/5)
金曜日は休校です。(E-Zoneもありません)生徒は午後1:30までに学校へ来て下さい。この地域に住まわれるご年配の方々のためのクリスマスお茶会で2:30からクリスマスキャロルを歌います。
土曜日(12/6)
生徒は午後4:00までに学校へ来て下さい。
(金曜日と土曜日) 生徒は各自、夜ご飯のお弁当とおやつを持参して下さい。おやつは他の生徒達と共に分けるものでもかまいません。5:00と7:00の出番の間の時間にご飯を食べます。
親御さんへ：当日着る衣装の下は、暖かい服を着せてください。今週末はとても寒くなるようです。
